Last year, James had his first Halloween. This year, it was Gavin's turn. Since James was born at the tail-end of the holiday season and {obviously} Gavin joined us prior, we get to celebrate two years in a row of first holidays! Makes me feel a little crazy... but in a good way :)
Since Halloween fell on a Sunday, we celebrated it by going to our ward's Harvest Dinner/Trunk-or-Treat par-tay the Friday before. James was Mickey Mouse and Gavin was Pluto. Brad and I were... parents :) We had ideas, but we just never executed them. Ah, next year
Our table was right next to the stairs to the stage where they were doing a cake-walk for the kids. James could not get enough of it. He got raffle tickets every time he won {which was surprisingly a lot!}. Brad took him to pick out some prizes and they came back with a black beaded necklace, a glow-stick necklace, and a kaleidescope. What can I say... my boy likes jewelry...
Then came the Trunk-or Treat. Though we didn't teach James to say Trick-or-Treat, he was really good at saying 'thank you' almost every time he got candy. So polite :) And he actually listened to us when we told him 'just one'.
When we got home, I made the kids endure a tiny photo shoot to get better pics of their costumes...
...it mostly worked :)
We are already thinking of ideas for next year- I'm hoping to do actual sewing for next year's costumes! Wahoo!
So Cute! Amy, oh Amy amazing blogger, teach me how you upload your pictures.... :0)
