Memorial Day Weekend

You know what? Three-day weekends should be way more common. When Brad worked at the Oakland Temple, they switched their schedules so Brad worked 4 10-hour days. He probably hated it, but I loved having three-day weekends with him. I keep "teasing" him he should do that again (even though I know it isn't an option... one can hope) but he doesn't agree with me. Ah, well.

Memorial Day weekend was Brad's first paid holiday off with his new job. Yaaaay!! We wanted to do a day trip to the coast or to Portland, but the weather decided to not be that great. So we tried to make it as fun as possible with the nappers and not so sunny weather

Trip to VooDoo Doughnuts
Pictures of our ever growing baby (who sits still unlike his brothers...)
Getting time with my boys outside and finding a very sweet cat
Grilling burgers and dogs on the new grill
More walks where a very tired James passed out halfway
Funfetti cookies and ice cream!
Sadly, it all came to an end. And Brad will be going to Utah this weekend sans family for a cousin's wedding. We will miss him and hopefully have an oh so fun family trip the next weekend!

  1. Still love our three day weekends, but I have to admit, having Steve gone 14 hours a day for four days is really tough sometimes. but every weekend feels like a vacation, and it's been almost three years!
    Glad you guys had fun!!

  2. 3 day weekends are the BEST. Ours was spent moving, (bummer), but it was still great to be together as a family. That grill is legit, girl! Holy man grill! Your boys are so stinking adorable!
