Our house has quickly become a Star Wars house. We tried to show James one of the movies a little while ago, but it didn't really hold his attention. At Christmas, the boys got a bag of 7 characters from Star Wars (Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2D2, Boba Fett, Storm Trooper, Darth Vader, and Yoda). They were in love- James more than Gavin. Since then, James will watch all three (not at once! eesh) though he does prefer Empire Strikes Back. I don't know why... we try to push Return of the Jedi. He is finally warming up to that one because he is a big fan of Luke Skywalker.
Gavin loves them all now, too. We showed him that R2D2 beeps and he loves us to make R2 move on his chest and beep. Or he'll do it himself- funny kid. James has taught him to yell, "R2!!! Wahtijdkalfji" (pretty sure it translates to "where are you") His absolute favorites, though, are Darth Vader and Yoda. You know, the "besties" in the movie. He is not happy in his car seat, in the cart, or just walking around, unless he has these in his hands. He'll shout, "YO - DA! YO - DA!" He tries to say Darth Vader, but I can't type what that sounds like. I'm sure you've caught on that we are total nerds so we are loving the Star Wars love. It is so fun to see our kids enjoy and love what we did when we were kids.

I especially love his "da, da, da", as he does his version of sw theme songs! Loving that last pic of his cute little Gav face! :D
ReplyDeleteI should ask Hayden if he's ready to donate his Star Wars guys. He hardly plays with them anymore. We did a great Star Wars party for him when he was 5. It was a hit.
