James turned 1 on December 28th. I can't believe it! The year just flew by! Here are some facts about one-year old James:
- has been walking since about 10 1/2 months... and daily picking up speed!
- still LOVES food. His new loves is oranges. My parents have an orange tree and this is the season. He'll eat at least two wedges
- isn't really talking, but has said: up, kitty, hi. No rush :)
- now has 6 teeth
- only takes one nap a day... sometimes not even that. Luckily that is more rare than common!
- loves music still
- anything with a handle he can carry around, it is his.
Just a few things about our little toddler!
His birthday went pretty well. I had grand ideas of making him this great cake... alas, the day before his birthday I woke up with a throat ache, body aches, bit of congestion, headache. Thought it would go away. Nope. Could barely talk for a few days, and it got worse. Perfect timing! I still wanted to make him a cake but my energy just wasn't there- I even had a minor breakdown in Target trying to figure out what to do. Thankfully, I recovered (thank you, mom and Rach) and I opted to make him cupcakes. We did poke holes in them and add sweetened condensed milk to it, then sprinkled Heath bars on top to make them a little extra special. Brad's parents came over for our tiny celebration and we enjoyed having them there :)
We love you, James!
