I was oh so blessed with having my mom come out for three weeks to help me with the baby and to help me recover. She had her ticket for January 1st, thinking the baby would come early... surprise that he came even earlier than that. :) She also didn't purchase a return ticket because we were unsure of how the birth would go- my mom had all c-sections so we weren't sure if I would have to have one, or how a normal birth would go. Luckily she did that, too, because it allowed her to stay longer and I was able to take it easy since I did end up having a c-section, though not for the reason I had thought it would be. Anyhow, I'm very grateful for her taking the time to help our little family out. My mom left this past Wednesday so I am officially on my own- well, sort of because I'll always have Brad, but he tends to be MIA these days due to school and his jobs.
This past weekend my sister was able to come up from Provo and meet her nephew. It was so fun to see her holding James. When she usually comes and visits, it isn't for more than a full day. But this time, she got to stay longer due to the holiday- yay! So my sister-in-law, Linzi, threw a baby shower for me this past Monday since my mom and sister were here and more people would be able to come due to the holiday. It was so much fun- thanks Linzi!
So here are some pictures from the past few weeks or so.

You're looking great Amy! I love the faces James is making in the pictures where he's lying on his boppy. So funny!

ReplyDeleteHe is so cute. I think we bought that orange and white striped shirt (and tan shorts?) for our little guy as well. We are so excited for him to come.
ReplyDeletemoms are the best. i didn't want mine to leave, ever. he's such a doll, i bet you can't get enough of him.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute little baby boy. Babies are kind with their unstinky diapers in the beginning. It will change and you will adjust. I think it is Heavenly fathers way of getting the dads in on helping out. Wait till he eats solid foods. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteThanks for having a baby so I could throw a baby shower! We sure do love our little nephew and the girls sure do love their baby James.
